 \, Aneerudha Paul\n\nCONFERENCE THEME\nThe Southern Urbanism Co-Net (SU Co
-Net) fosters collaborative knowledge production on urbanism across the Gl
obal South. Building on the collaborative ethos of the 2023 Shanghai Confe
rence (Tongji University)\, it emphasizes relational perspectives that cap
ture the everyday realities\, diverse actors\, and complex processes shapi
ng cities. Southern Urbanism as an evolving epistemological framework\, gu
iding interdisciplinary research\, teaching\, and practice. This conferenc
 e brings together architects\, researchers\, scholars\, built-environment
 practitioners\, students\, government agencies\, climate-heritage organiza
tions\, and global stakeholders to examine these intersecting forces and c
o-create pathways toward equitable urban futures.\nThe 2026 Lagos Conferen
ce highlights the challenges and opportunities of postcolonial urbanism in
Southern cities and beyond\, including legacies of spatial inequality\, r
 apid rural–urban migration\, environmental pressures\, informal expansio
n\, and governance constraints. It explores how urban processes\, spatial
forms\, and policy frameworks can guide urbanization toward resilience\, e
quity\, and livability. The conference aims to reshape urban scholarship a
nd practice by nurturing cross-continental knowledge exchange\, strengthen
ing research networks\, and promoting partnerships that redefine sustainab
le and culturally attuned urban futures.\n \nABSTRACT / PANEL SUBMISSION
\nWe invite submissions for individual abstracts and proposed panels tha
t engage in multi-scalar\, multidisciplinary dialogues on how decolonial a
 pproaches\, climate-responsive design\, indigenous knowledge systems\, and
socially grounded design-planning can collectively transform city-making
 processes.\n \nHOST\n\nFaculty of Architecture\,\nDepartment of Architect
